A fantastic performance from our girls saw them emerge convincing winners in yesterday’s final at Leeside United in Little Island. A terrific team goal finished  by Andrea Kindelan saw us take a 1-0 lead into the interval after dominating play for most of the half & particularly unlucky not to be leading by more especially as a Luisa Basso free kick just whistled past the Carrigaline goal with the keeper beaten .

Playing into a strong wind in the second half ,a determined & committed display from all our players saw us limit Carrigaline to a few shots from distance dealt with comfortably by Ellie O’Leary while Aricia Foley on as a second half replacement for the exhausted Pia Ortega pounced to drive home after a slick attack, allowing us to manage the game out relatively comfortably to the end much to the delight of our fantastic supporters who cheered the team on right to the end. 

Congratulations to all the girls & coaching staff on our first ever Munster Minor title. We now go forward to represent Midleton College in the FAI National Cup semi final v Gallen Community College, Ferbane, Co. Offaly scheduled for April 11th .
