The Chapel of St Christopher

School Chapel at Midleton College

The Chapel of St Christopher represents a transformative project at Midleton College, aimed at honouring our heritage while providing a sacred space for reflection, community, and spiritual growth. This chapel will be established in arguably the oldest building on campus—the humble old potato shed, a heritage site that encapsulates the rich history of our school. By collaborating with James Bourke Architects, we ensure that the creation of the chapel is sensitive to the building’s historical significance and architectural integrity.

The Chapel of St Christopher will serve as a sanctuary for students, staff, and the entire school community, fostering an environment of contemplation and connection. St Christopher, known as the patron saint of travellers and protector of people, is a fitting choice for Midleton College. Just as St Christopher is said to have carried travellers safely across a river, Midleton College aims to guide and support its students through their educational journey, ensuring they navigate life’s challenges with strength and resilience.

Help is needed to bring this special project to fruition. By contributing to the creation of the Chapel of St Christopher, you are not only preserving an important piece of our heritage but also investing in the spiritual and communal well-being of future generations at Midleton College. This project embodies our commitment to maintaining a balance between tradition and innovation, ensuring that our school remains a place of holistic development and lasting values.

Join us in making the Chapel of St Christopher a reality. Your support will leave a lasting legacy, enriching the lives of countless students and upholding the enduring spirit of Midleton College.
