MC Students take top Science Award

On Friday, Hannah Curtain, Samira Heckett and Phoebe Sexton in TY, represented the school in the Merck Science competition. The students all performed wonderfully communicating their projects through different mediums including posters and a PowerPoint presentation, where they had to present in front of multiple judges, students, parents and Merck staff. Hannah and Samira’s high-quality study won 1st prize for their Microplastics in Crabs Project. In their project they counted over 5,000 microplastics in only 10 crabs. Congratulations to the girls as their winnings also included €1,000 for the school and €250 each.
