Congratulations to our Midleton College chess club who participated at the second Cork schools chess tournament held at St Francis College last Friday. There were 9 schools involved this year and we went up against some very competitive players. Well done to our Team A who placed 8th out of 24 teams! This year we were only 5 points off the top team. A special mention to Eoghan Davis who placed 11th, Louis McCarthy -12th and Titouan Compagnon – 23rd out of 96 competitors. A great result. Well done to all the students who were involved.
